Harvard Business School Case Study

The Harvard Business School (HBS) Case Study Method is one of the teaching methods used in the NRHA Retail Management Certification Program. Several of the course modules will utilize case studies as the teaching style, which allows students to actively discuss the case and share differing perspectives. It's an ideal teaching method for adult learning and for the face-to-face design of the program.

Classroom Workshops & Interactive Learning

NRHA’s Retail Management Certification Program is designed to be a learning experience that allows students to immediately apply what they have learned and draw connections between the course work and discussions occurring in the classroom and their business. Therefore, the course modules are designed in a workshop format, mixing the elements of pre-work, lecture, discussion and interactive learning exercises in one session to maximize applicability and appeal to all styles and best practices of adult learning.

Examples of interactive learning include:

  • Simulations
  • Small group problem solving activities
  • Case studies
  • Role-playing exercises
  • Best-practice sharing sessions
