The North American Retail Hardware Association’s Retail Leadership Institute, in conjunction with Do it Best Corp., is providing a scholarship to a Do it Best Corp.-affiliated member to send a student to the Fall 2017 Class of NRHA’s Retail Management Certification Program (RMCP), which is held in Indianapolis, IN. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must meet all program eligibility requirements and must complete a program application form, submit a written essay and participate in a phone interview with program administrators to determine if the applicant is eligible for admission into the program.
Applicant Affiliation/Attendance Criteria
To be eligible for the Do it Best Corp. RMCP Scholarship, applicants must own or be employed by a Do it Best Corp. member-affiliated store in good standing and commit to attending all three visits of the Fall 2017 Class of the NRHA Retail Management Certification Program as follows:

- Visit #2: November 14-17, 2017
- Visit #3: January 16-19, 2018
Program/Scholarship Application Process
Applying for the Do it Best Scholarship is easy.
- Complete/submit both parts of the Retail Management Certification Program application.

- Complete phone interview with program administrator.
The written scholarship application/essay and phone interview recording and/or transcript will be reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of NRHA staff, NRHA Board Members, Retail Leadership Institute Advisory Board Members and program administrators who will award the Do it Best Corp. RMCP Scholarship. Scholarship recipients will be notified they have been selected no later than July 14, 2017.
Scholarship Value and Redemption
The Do it Best Corp. RMCP Scholarship is valued at $6,250 and must be fully applied to offset the cost of tuition for the Fall 2017 session of the NRHA Retail Management Certification Program. If after being awarded the scholarship it is determined that the recipient can’t attend the Fall 2017 class sessions, the scholarship will be forfeited and another recipient will be selected. Course tuition for the NRHA Retail Management Certification Program is $12,500.
Space Reservation Deposit
All applicants who apply for admission into the NRHA Retail Management Certification Program will be required to submit a $1,500 Space Reservation Deposit that must be submitted with the application. If the applicant is not accepted into the program after completing the application process, the space reservation deposit will be refunded in full. Likewise, if the applicant has applied for the Do it Best Corp. RMCP Scholarship but is not selected to receive it and chooses not to attend, the space reservation deposit will be refunded in full. Submission of this form and the $1,500 Space Reservation Deposit indicates both the applicant and business owner understand and agree to the time and financial commitments required.
